Hiya Folks! We had the pleasure of working with the company Exterran when they were in town for the oil & gas sales conference at the Marriott Rivercenter. First off – OMG, those folks know how to party! I’m sure there was some business happening somewhere in there, but what a SUPER-FUN group of people to be around!
**Side note – before we opened Moments & Milestones (so…over 10 years ago now), I worked for a decent sized company in the electronics industry. And we would attend sales conferences like this. But I’m not sure they rivaled what the Oil & Gas industry puts on…everybody (and there were thousands of attendees) had a smile on their face! Alcohol may have played a (*ahem*…small, I’m sure) part in their happiness…but, everyone was so cool and ready to have a great time!
Anyways, there are multiple ballrooms at the hotel…and each ballroom was rented by a different company in the industry. And all of the folks that attended the conference could wander into each room, talk with the representatives and take part in whatever entertainment was provided. And *WE* were brought in to be the entertainment in Exterran’s ballroom. We hired a group of people who appear in Star Wars cosplay and set up our green screen. And we invited everyone who came into the Exterran ballroom to take a picture with Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Princess Leia & a Storm Trooper in front of a space backdrop. We edited the images onsite and emailed them before the night was over. And it turned out beautifully! I won’t bore you with too many photos (we shot over 900 people in a matter of 4 hours, if you include the groups…so the poses get a little repetitive! 🙂 )
